    Default How to reshaft a golf club...

    First step...Secure broken,bent, cracked etc shaft with a rubber block and vice...Or get creative like I did...


    Second step Measure shaft and trim using tubing cutters. Read shaft mfg instructions for trimming, some want you to trim the butt other the tip.


    Third step...use heat gun to heat hozel, you can use a torch but it may scar the hozel.

    Fourth step. Use cloth to twist (gently if graphite) club head off shaft... Then clean old epoxy from inside hozel

    Fifth step Check to see if shaft will completely seat in club head...then install ferrule

    Sixth step use sand paper or file to roughen tip to ensure epoxy has somewhere to grab hold of..
    Seventh step Mix epoxy with suitable tool such as a golf tee!!!

    Eighth step...apply epoxy to shaft and inside hozel..

    Ninth step...assemble club head onto shaft and wipe away excess epoxy...

    this is a skickey? What? I am honored. However I am sure I could have improved on this system...mostly if you are trying to remove a graphite shaft.
