    Default Questions on Charisma?

As I listen to more and more of the Politicians and their "takes" on what they plan to do, I've come to realize that things like plans and ideas really aren't relevant in todays politics. I've always been told and see that those who are charismatic are the ones we choose. Those who use such words as family, honest, giving, hard working, etc. However, I look at other countries politicians and see them referred to by what they look to accomplish and strive for.

    My questions are this:

Since Americans seem to have a heavy emphasis on charismatic people e.g. Clinton, Kennedy, Obama, Bush, Reagan. Is this why we vote in the ways that we vote?
Do we choose to deny the issues because it will make us feel slightly less guilty when the ones we vote for don't live up to our expectations?

    The change-up question
Jesus is generally referred and depicted as a very charismatic individual. Did this ideal follow with the teachings of early settlers and create our foundational terms?

I think people in general gravitate towards charisma and have a hard time voting for a "boring" person even if the "boring" person had more similar ideals to them than the charismatic person. It's like Hollywood. I've noticed this before in work situations; even if somebody sucks balls at their job they always seem to get manager positions etc purely on their magnetism(or by lying). As far as the Jesus question, whether he ever existed or not it just makes sense that he would be depicted as charismatic cuz who wants to be "led" by some boring guy? Not me, not you, not anyone. I suppose even Hitler was fun to watch and be "led" by. I don't suppose that many people would go along with that without being mesmorized by his charisma or something.

What in the fuck was charismatic about George W. Bush?
He was a babbling brook of mental retardation.

Schadenfreude is the flavor of choice nowadays.

Politics = It's the sizzle, not the steak.

+1, I think we see it everyday.

Hitler was very charismatic and had the German people in the palm of his hand but worked in his own agenda and began to believe his own lies. Had it not been for the mass murdering of millions, he might have actually been a good leader. Yeah I said it [melgibsondad.jpeg]
